Our people

Highbrook was founded in 2015 by journalists from the Financial Times, Economist, Telegraph, Guardian and Google. Our people have worked at the sharp end of digital journalism and content marketing where high standards and good numbers matter every hour and every day.

CEO and founder Michael Pilgrim has spent for more than two decades in senior editorial and commercial roles on national newspapers. Until 2015, he was Commercial Editorial Director of the Telegraph. He was also editor of the award-winning Observer magazine and has worked in executive comms for WPP Group.

Before joining Highbrook, Tamsin Brown worked in HSBC’s corporate publishing team for six years, writing and editing content for the group’s corporate website and international sites. She also spent 12 years as a financial journalist, writing on a range of subjects including pensions, investments and business news. She worked on the City desks of the Daily Mail and Daily Express, and wrote for Financial Times business titles, Financial News, Investors Chronicle and Securities & Investment Review.

Sam Noble was production editor for Guardian Labs, the newspaper’s commercial arm, producing innovative immersive online features for a range of commercial and B2B clients – from Audi and Natwest to Flight Centre and Volkswagen.
